Instructions to the Congress of the United States of America
Fiscal Responsibility – We want legislation with a timetable passed to balance the Federal Budget. This means, Congress must freeze government spending and impose no new taxes for all social programs until the economy bounces back and things are in better control.
Energy Independence – We what to eliminate our dependency on foreign oil. Congress must legislate laws to permit exploitation of all domestic energy resources, including off-shore oil, shale oil, natural gas, bio-fuels, clean coal production, wind power, solar energy, and energy from ocean wave motion. The Federal government must encourage the planning, construction, and start-up of new and refurbished oil refineries, as well as new nuclear power plants for the production of electricity.
United States Sovereignty – The Congress must take new and decisive measures to ensure the security of our country. This includes closing the borders to illegal entry by aliens and terrorists. Congress must protect the country from control by foreign elements and domestic malevolence, including the United Nations, lobbyists, and the current multiplicity of Presidential Advisors, or “Czars”, in the vernacular. The U.S. military, the greatest and most expert military forces the World has ever known, must be sustained and improved. The NSA, CIA, and the FBI must be supported by Congress without undue disruption so that our American way of life is protected.
World Leadership – The Congress must continue to support freedom-loving people in foreign countries all over the world with our tangible aid and volunteerism. This means continuing to make prudent contributions that enable others to achieve a free and prosperous society. We have shed our blood for others to fight for their and our liberty during the 20th and first part of the 21st Century. We should never apologize to foreign leaders for our presence and influence in far away places.
Federal Practices – The House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Administration need to change the way Washington D.C. works. Congress must legislate and pass new measures that can assure we truly have honest, decent public servants working for We the People . . . not the party or Congressional leadership. This means adopting Congressional Term Limits, a Presidential Line Item Veto, a Public Service Oath, clear Bill objectives and written in English the people understand, no “pork” or “earmarks”, no voting unless Congressmen and Senators certify they have read and understand the Bills, electronic methods whereby the people can appraise legislators’ and executives’ performance in-between elections, new and strict lobbying standards, new expense and travel guidelines for legislators and executives, and new election campaign contribution guidelines. Congress must pay close attention to whom they represent and serve. And . . . that would be us!
Constitutional Government – The Congress must stop allowing government to interfere with the people. We are a free market society and need to be assured of our unalienable rights as stated in the Declaration of Independence and in the The Bill of Rights, which is part of the Constitution. We do not want the 14th Amendment’s implication that we have no states’ rights as originally assured by the 10th Amendment, we do not want you to continue the martial law instituted by Lincoln, we do not want to be considered the enemy as implied in the “Trading with the Enemy Act” of 1917 and the Emergency Powers Act of 1933, and we do not want anything to do with the 1944 “New Bill of Rights” proposed by FDR and coveted by President Obama. We want “equality of opportunity”, but not the forced “equality of results”. No socialism . . . No “spreading the wealth”! We just want our liberty and our country back!
